360 Elite - Benq drive

Hi all, my little brother got a 360 Elite this morning. But it's got a Benq drive, just wondered if a mod has been sorted out for this yet?

Any news on a mod for this? Or is it a case of waiting?

Pure software base mod has been out for a while mate.

Pretty easy to do - I use the V6421A Card I have for the Samsungs and never had an issue.

Shows what good little brothers are, I had a look myself, and compared it to a picture on the net, only to see that it's a Hitachi drive :)

You wouldn't happen to know how I would go about finding out the version number of the drive would you?

Opening the case is the only way mate.

Get a scapel blade and hairdrier.

Heat the silver warranty sticker up with the hairdrier for a few mins and place the balde under the overlap of the clips.

Slowly remove sticker and place on the backing paper of a sticker so it doesnt dry out and can be placed back on,

95% chane its a Hitachi 79 with it being an elite.

I also do not condone fraudulant warranty claims ;)
