VGA or Component?

getting a headache trying to research this...any opinions etc?

I read that VGA can go up to 1080 but then I look on fleabay and it says 720?

should i bother getting a vga cable?

VGA all the way.
If your monitor/TV supports it It'll go full HD resolution.
IMHO it's also crisper than Component (or even HDMI for that matter)

VGA will support up to 1080p res and component will support up to 1080i, so it all depends on your set's capabilities.
