problem with xbox360

Hi all my son is having a problem with his chipped 360 he has had it for one year when he turns it on the red lights come on not all just three out of the four any help please in advance and Merry Christmas to all and Happy new year cheers

I thought 4 lights was AV cable? Is the video cable pushed ALL the way in.
I had one a while back that needed some brute force to get the cable right in. A real hand-full it was.

Hi yes my son has just tryed that and still the same three red lights on the front it is always the bottom right light that does not come on that is right as you look at it if that is of any help many thanks for the fast reply

I thought 3 lights was the dreaded Red Ring Of Death? if this the case doesn't it meant you box is fried?

Yep sorry my bad I mis-read your post. I thought I read all 4 red lights. I was a bit tired sorry.

As they say mate, sent it back to microsoft, it's covered by a 3 year warranty.

If your box has OBVIOUSLY (i.e it's really evident) been tampered with then fix it yourself. It's not overly difficult. Do a google for RJBtech's X-clamp replacement tutorial. I've had very good results on quite a few 360's particularly with Version III of his guide.

Sending back to MS is a chore, this time of year it'll probably take at least a month I would have thought.
