Winamp help

Does anyone know how I could fix the following problem I encounter with Winamp?

When I play a game i.e. Pro Evo 3 and I have Winamp playing music in the background the music starts getting a bit fuzzy and distorted and this lasts for the whole time the game is running.

So to fix this problem I'm having to run all music through windows media player but i prefer Winamp as I can only have one album running on media player and winamp is much easier to use etc..

Is there anything i could do to Winamp in order for the music to stay clear when other programs are running?

I might be getting that way because you have too much going on for the processor to handle. Try exiting a few auxilary programs that are running before you play.
