Can i get rid of vista?

Ive had enough of Vista its such a bag of shite its un real.

where do I stand on this could it easily be downgraded to Windows XP?

Yep, format the HDD and install XP. Make sure you have XP drivers for all hardware devices. Actually, when you run XP setup, it will give you the option to format the HDD.

I really like the new verions of XP SP 2 that W.a.r.e.z.d.e.mon has produced.

He's done one ala Vista look called XP Black edition and 1 ala Mac called Leopard XP Glass edition. Both are on DVD and contain all drivers + extra progs, simply install what you want. :)

ive never installed an operating system before is it just a case of inserting disc anf following prompts?

ok vista is a gonna, using xp proffessional black xp by demon warez ands its really good.

laptop loads in less than 30 seconds compared to vistas 3 minutes. laptop is much faster

One limitation I have found on a system was this though:- My @ key on my keyboard keeps giving me the " symbol instead?!?! Must have a look at that.

Go to 'Regional and Language Options' in Control Panel (Classic View)
Make sure Standards and Formats are United Kingdom, then click the Languages Tab, click the 'Detail' button and make sure your keyboard is United Kingdom too.

Thx, despite me already doing that after setup all language settings reverted to US/Canada again, let's hope it sticks this time.

Now my only propblem with this modified XP is after installing the latest Nvidia graphics card drivers for the GeForce 6200 installed whenever I boot up my display reverts to 16 bit 800x600 instead of the usual 1280x1024 I've tried driver rollback, uninstalled etc but still same problem on every boot. {sigh}
