Installing Maps etc...onto tomtom one v2

Hello there,
I need help, I've just got a tomtom one v2 from my missus she got off ebay(as i believe you can update maps etc...on this model).
I just dowloaded the latest consolidated speed cameras and the map for western europe and was wondering how do i install them?
I know i need a bigger sd card to take the maps(which i have a 2gb one now)
And i know i just copy all the files and folders from my old card over to my new one.
But what i don't know is how to add the maps and speed camera updates, i know there is speed cameras on there already but i just want to make sure i have all the latest ones.
Do i just drag the new camera files into a new folder or something? And i can't find a folder for the maps?.
Ive done some research into it but found nothing that i thought was conclusive where i know this board is very reliable for help.

the ov2 and bmp files go into the map folder and they will then appear on the TomTom. The map folder just goes in the root of the memory card.

Could someone please help me in getting the western europe maps onto my tomtom one v2 please!!!!
Im having a nightmare, i've got the maps put them on a new bigger sd card and went to switch maps but then it says about activating it?
I tried following the instructions in the info using the comand promp routine but my tomtom just keeps saying code not wester_europe code???
I thought this would be easy but its driving me insane, my mum & dad are off to france in a week and want to borrow it.
If someone could help id really appreciate it.
