Cant extract dat and Mpg with ISOBUSTER anymore??
I have uninstalled and reinstalled isobuster a few times to try and correct this problem but have failed.
I used isobuster heavily ripping dat and mpeg files out of bins so I can make dvds quicker but everytime I drag the file onto my desktop now it comes up with an error before it even gets upto 1% - The error is 452??
Ive now goto burn the vcds/svcds to disks before i can take the files off.
I have tried using magiciso and winiso but they extract the files but they come out scrambled...
any ideas?

Hi M8,
I also rip the mpg's from the bin files although do it a slighty different way. I use daemon tools to load the the cue file into a virtual cdrom. then use a program called vcdgear to rip the dat/mpg file.
Hope this is of some help

From Daemon tools you can just copy the file directly from the mounted mpeg2 folder to your working folder. With vcdgear you can directly extract it from the original cue/bin file.

Simply copting a DAT/MPG from a (S)VCD though the file will still have a riff header.

And how does that affect things? Does this present a problem when encoding for a DVD? You spoke of this once before but I could find no info on how this would affect the end result. I assume by your statement that a VCDGear extracted file is a better choice and does not have a RIFF header?
Thanks

Yep. If it has a riff header then that is fine if the software reading it supports it. If not then the file is no good. On the other hand if you remove the header the file is fine no matter what. More a problem if you were burning back to (S)VCD as you then add another header.

I have to second using VCDGear, whenever I get bin/cue files of films I just load them into VCDGear and extract the mpg file, couldnt be easier.
