MSN Messenger Problem

Hi all, MSN Messenger is not telling me when i receive new email in my hotmail account, its showing when people log in but not with emails!! Anyone help out please

Open MSN Messenger and go to Tools > Options...
On the General tab there is a check box for 'Display alerts when an e-mail is received'. If that isn't checked then check it and hit the OK button.

Tried that m8, first thing i checked and yep its ticked, still getting the same error i'm afraid!!

I don't know whats wrong then. Maybe try uninstalling then reinstalling it again and see if that helps.

go to the hotmail website, it's like a msn plugin to combine the email with the messanger.

Tried that aswell m8, even upgraded to a newer version but still the same happened, i know hotmail was down a few days ago and its seemed to have started since then, i will keep on persevering!!

Mine has packed up too, have you been using a registry cleaner at all? I'm suspicious that mine has been weeding out useful entries.

Sorry I don't have a solution for you though, haven't looked yet :)

I'm only running Ad Aware m8 now and again, would that of had anything to do with it?

Hmmm seems to be working ok now! Very strange indeed, i'm putting this one down to Hotmail me thinks
