Firewall/Which ports to open?

I have an old Windows 95 game called Crush! Deluxe and it is one of my favorite PC games of all time. I'm trying to play online with a friend using its TCP/IP online mode, but when either of us host a game, we can't find each other's game when searching by IP. I can host and join from different PC's within my own network, so I'm assuming it's a firewall issue with the game ports being blocked. There is no online documentation and the company that made the game no longer exists. Is there any way I can determine which ports the game uses so that I can open them?

You could try starting a game and then do netstat -a from a dos box. This should show what port it is listening on. Also if you have a router you will need to forward the port.
