Returned 360 From Ms Phillips Vad 6038 Drive

I recently returned a 360 to ms and jsut got it back yesterday :luxhello:
opened it up this morning to flash it but found it was i drive i aint seen yet :(

Drive is a PHILLIPS VAD 6038 the motherboard has also been changed for a new one with the xtra cooler on it , so it seems microsoft have changed drives again so i guess iam f****d

I think that's a BenQ, they're going in a lot of new consoles and refurbs, they have the same tray as the Phillips except it's grey where the Phillips is black.

Read/write is possible with a bit of soldering (like the Ms28 but with different points on the back of the board) but there's no hacked firmware available yet.

I can do these with a drive swap but its not cheap...
