I've been playing around with three new programs, DVD Rebuilder, DVDReasy, and now DVD2DVD-R 1.81.

I'm more than pleased with Rebuilders full disc backup and DVD2DVD-R's movie only results (both using CCE).

I'm dumping DVDReasy (movie only) as I can't get it to work right. In looking things over I notice many instances and versions of the same programs, ie. AviSynth, Eclcce, IfoEdit etc., in a few locations. Should I not be concerned or should I try to standardize all the apps to use the same latest versions of each.

As a side note if anyone is interested in DVD2DVD-R you can register at their site (I used Google's translator), from then on, after logging in, you can download the programs and use their English language forum (which is still a bit hard to understand).

Hmmm, not even sure how it is possible to have multiple versions of AVISynth installed. I always just use Shodan's lastest build.

I can see no point in having the same programs multiple times. CCE you might not want to go for the latest though.

AviSynth has it's own folder in Program Files (but no EXE). I also have version 2.52 (EXE) in a folder in DVDReasy's folder. DVD2DVD-R has an AviSynth folder but no EXE. Rebuilder has version 1.7a of EclCCE in it's folder as does DVDReasy. DVD2DVD-R has ver 1.7b in a folder and version .96 of Ifoedit in a folder. DVDReasy has ver .95 of Ifoedit.

In the Avisynth Program Files folder I have version 1.77.3 of DVD2AVI in DVD2DVD-R's I've got version 1.76.

That should make things clear as mud :insane:

Only EXE that AVISynth has is the setup EXE. To find out what version you are actually running, play version.avs in the example script folder.

You should be using DVD2AVIdg and the version of MPEG2Dec3 that goes along with it, which if placed in AVISynth's plugin folder will simply autoload.

Thanks for the help. It is ver. 254 (in Program Files). Can I delete the other various AviSynth folders (that have EXE's) that are scattered about?

As I said the EXE's should just be setup files. AVISynth.dll is the file that does the work. That is as well as the plugins.
