xbox 360 freezing problem

Hi i am looking for some advice, the last few days my 360 has been freezing at all stages whilst playing games, 360 logo on boot up and it has red blocks on screen. I have not had 3 rol and i am using an intercooler so what is the problem and can it be fixed.

It is possible that it could also be the media that you are using, however danman is correct that you probably have an imminent hardware failure on your hands.

Red blocks is probably GPU overheating, bad burns/discs are generally on screen dirty disc or disc read errors.

You tried powering up without the intercooler, as that draws power from the console that is needed at startup

Cheers for the replies. Danman you were right, the night after i turned on 360 and there was the 3 rod. Off for repair monday.
