Back up

Hi ..just bought Battlefield 2142 again as son broke the original and bought Battlefield 2 for the third time as they were damaged. What I want to know is can i do a back up of these games ??? I know they have some protection on them so I thought I'd ask here. I have Alcohol & nero if these can be used.
