I have tried to back up EA Sportss FIFA Football 2004, without success.
Had a quick look through the posts but could not find any info.

I have created image, using Nero, been successful before, and burnt image using nero.
All I get is the title page of EA Sports.

I got Silver PS2 (v 9, I believe with Messiah chip)

Any help and advice would be appreciated please, on this particular game and if there are regular problems with this make of games.

Thanks

There have been some problems reported with swap magic and EA games but it shouldn't be an issue with your messiah chip. Have you tried another program? (ie Recordnow Max or DVD Decrypter)?

I've got a v10 w/ a Messiah. Pio 105 and Disc Juggler 4.x used to backup FIFA 2004 and no problems m8. What kind of shape is your master copy/original in?

Hi Jesterrace

I have tried to use DVD Decrypter before, but comes up cant find movie obviously I need to check or uncheck some boxes but I dont know the program at all or how to use it properly. I have tried RecordNow Max on another machine and although it shows up on the software it says there is no compatible device, again I am not very familiar with it. Oh its a Pioneer 107 it cant detect.

The plextor 708A along with Nero reads and burns but the game wont play other than displaying EA Sports title page.

Hi 420;

The master is not perfect, slightly marked but I have used worse. I havent tried using Juggler for DVD backup but did use it quite often for cdr. The thing is why wont my setup work where it has done before and what would make another bit of software any better in this case, sorry not having a go just talking aloud, as I dont understand it.
I checked the non-working disc with the original and they both come out the same, same space used, so its creating an identical disc, but it just dont play.

Any further help or directions would be appreciated as I want to either succed with this burn, if it dosent cost me loads more coasters, or at least find out why it wont.

Thanks for your input so far.

Cheers

Right dont know if anyone is really interested in my results, but if anyone can give me an explaination to my latest results I would appreciate it.
I managed to finally back it up, but dont know why other than the obvious I used different method and software.
I created an image file with Discjuggler 4.01 using a Toshiba dvd-Rom.
I then burnt the image, again with Discjuggler using with the Plextor 708.
I had previously tried to do it using Discjuggler and only the Plex, but the read process came up with an error.
Its good that it worked but at the same time it makes things awkward, its far better if you can keep to the same software and method for all games, still one of those things I guess, unless someone comes up with an explanation, that would help.

Thanks all any way.

Cheers

With Recordnow Max, make sure you don't use the Wizard. Then simply go into the regular copy mode. Make sure you have the "write image to HD" option and insert the original and the blank into each drive. click the record button and it will take care of the rest. Been using this process for quite a while now.

I use RecordNow DX, and I couldn't burn EA sports Games and games by Sony, but then i found that if you make the image at a slower speed and burn the DVD at a slower speed (such as 1 or 2x as apposed to 4x) the burned game works.

What media are you using? It could be your Media or your PS2. Some PS2s are better adept at reading media burned at higher speeds.

No idea. heh Nor can I explain why CDRWin used to have a harder time reading scratched PS1 discs than Nero or CloneCD did. Perhaps CDRWin just gave up easier. :D

I dont change recording settings from what they were already with RNM.

Don't use decrypter, its for encoded dvd flicks & ps2 games are neither.

I have used DVDDECRYPTER and NERO without changing anything and have gotten all my PS2 Backups to work. They are not protected. I have a messiah 2 PRO chip.
