how do i delete www addys from my address bar

hi guys how do i delete wwwaddress from my adderss search bar.........?

please can you reply in basic talk as i dont know anything on computers

goto tools (in IE)/ internet options/ then where it says browse history, click on delete (but remember this will also delete cookies and passwords for websites you have saved)
