Guys, I have just given Virgin 30 days notice of my cancellation (on another thread) and ordered Sky broadband, there will be about 15 days when they cross over. My PC has 2 onboard network cards, if I have both connections (Virgin & Sky, cable & ADSL) connected to my PC is it possible to use them both to gain any speed or does it have to choose one or the other?

You can do load balancing but your connection speed will never really be faster then the faster of the two. For example, adding a 3.0mb ADSL connection to a 5.0mb Cable connection will not give you 8.0mb download speeds.

I hope you read the small prints on Sky broadband's bandwidth limitation :)

Never tried it but have a look at connection teaming here
