how do i flash the lpc? is this chip write protected or somethink?
as i tryed through slayers to flash it but it just hangs on erasing screen?
also i read i got to Make sure that the following line is inserted in the .ini file under [BIOS] section:
"Flash = 0xbf61,"SST - 49LF020",0x40000" for Matrix/Xodus
do i put this line in evox.ini in c: drive ?

you can flash it with evox or better still get a "x2flash for sst49lf020", don't think an lpc is usually write protected.
make sure you use the correct bios size though lpc chips only have 1x256k bios so make sure the bios you use is 256k

do i send you the evox ini file in c: drive?
also i downloaded Xecuter2.4981.rar i opened it up and it has these files:
4981.06_256k.bin
4981.67_256k.bin
make1mb.bat
x2_IGR_disabled
is this the correct bios ?
also slayers says the bios version is evox 2.2, is this a old bios? it was already on the chip when i bought it, just curious,
thanx guys

4981.06_256k.bin use that one only, forget the rest for now, check the size of the above bios, (right click>properties) got to be 256k (windows may give 2 results, slightly different), but around the 256k mark, and yes mail me you evox ini, from your c:\ directory...................................

when power it on try holding down the power button. Thats how I flash my aladdin advanced chips. On the aladdin advance chips the led on the eject button will change to red indicating the flash protect is off.
