Hitman Contracts

Ive downloaded hitman contracts for the xbox from 2 sources and both disks say there is a problem with the disk may be damaged or scratched???

anybody else had this trouble?

im gutted was dying to play this game:yell1: :yell1: :bawling:

one thing have you got your clock and date set right?

keep seeing peeps games not working, and its always suggested to set the clock right.

Just tried setting my clock and when i go from evoX dash to ms dash to set clock the box resets and says attention needed or summit in all languages.....hmmm hope its not goosed

sounds like a file is missing or something from the msdash side of things, get a slayer and re-install mate, if your getting a "dirty disc" or "there is a problem with your disk" error, then it sounds more like a problem with the default.xbe, try seeing if theres a fix out, or get a working xbe from someone whos got a working copy, for games that load but then hang or just freeze , then setting the clock will sort it, also sometimes, games need to be in the right output format, set to NTSC and see of that helps.

ive seen this piece of software wipe an eeprom before now, now ive used it myself with no probs, but have had repairs in due to this software and another piece "avalaunch" has also had this problem, i`d suggest unlocking your hdd, and backing up the eeprom before using this, 1 xbox mainboard, and an 80 gig hdd have been lost due to this problem

games that i know of needing the clock to be set :-

vice city (hangs on load screen)
deus ex (hangs on main menu)
fifa 2004 (hangs on white intro screen)
worms 3d
rallisport challenge2 (someone asked me about this, and he sethis clock and it worked)
manhunt (crashs after intro movie, or if you press button to skip it)

possible fix for you:

rename the ntsc dir in Hitman Contracts to pal and it will fix the dirty disc error

Did you upgrade your HDD and not lock it?

I just downloaded this and get the same dirty disc error when trying to play it off my hdd. Tried renaming the folder but that didn't do anything I'm sure there will be a fix posted in the next few days, hopefully. :(

Sussed it lol.....i musta had my stupid head on b4....go into launch apps and select enigma and set xbox to ntsc and it works fine....

I have a NTSC xbox and I saw my son playing it earlier. Here is the release I have. I'll ask my son if he had any trouble with the game.

Didn't matter whether it was set as PAL, didn't need the clock setting.

my mate has this problem too.

Im having no problems playing in PAL mode and I know his clock is set correctly.

hmmmm tried everything, cant get it to work, seen theres few different releases, so may just have a dodge release...............

mine kept coming up with dirty disc error.

then change the ntsc folder to pal(rename)

and it works fine.

running 1.4 crystal xbox, with xenium, and 4982.06 bois. Game running from hdd.

Release i got was the isn-hitcx

sorted, either reburn it this way, or copy to hdd, and then goto the game folder, look in the "movies" folder, and rename the "ntsc" folder to "pal", works a treat now, cheers noyfb.........................

is anyone elses hanging on the lead-out track, never had any problems burning but keep getting a hit-and-miss with this game.

Probably because you 2 are in the u.s? you only get problems if your xbox is pal/or has been set to pal...i thought the game was very crap btw..:)

Cheat Mode Found


edit main.ini..

and change //EnableCheats

to EnableCheats

save and upload.. enjoy

press L + R to bring up debug menu.. press "y" to close debug menu

and press L + Start to bring up cheats menu..

there seems to be some bugs when using the cheats.. sue at your own risk..


Edit: don't play with time multpilier - only way I was able to default to normal time was to reboot.
