ati or geforce??

hi all

need some advice. i have never used my pc for games as i have always prefered ps2 but now i have b/band i want to try some online games.

the voodoo3 card i have in their is well out of date lol!

so what i want to know is which £50 graphics card would be better....one out of the geforce fx range or the ati radeon range?

any help would be appreciated as graphic cards is one area i know nothing about!

For that price range either the geforce fx5200 or the radeon 9200, both will do as you require although me myself id rather have a radeon but thats through my own personal choice.

Everyone seems to prefer the Radeon cards. Both are pretty good though.

Go with ATI whatever you can afford...

the new Nvidia 6800 cards should be out in a few months. Everything else will drop in price.
