Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this?
I know with PC's you can pick and choose replacement components at will.....so if you pick up a cheap PC its easy to dump any crap bits and add what you like, but it ain't that easy when laptops are involved is it (correct me if I'm wrong)?
So is it worth buying an "unbranded" laptop at a decent price or would it just be hassle if you end up needing to replace half the bits??

The reason I ask is that a shop down the road is selling the laptop in this link:

*Roughly* £600

Any opinions??

Cheers,

you could upgrade the HD, memory and the battery without any probs, but as its a Moblie anthlon it will be attached to the MB, same with all the other components

Not sure about the Cdrom drive as i THINK that their are a few differnt sizes, but i could be wrong...

is that what your asking?

(BTW £600 is a good price for that laptop)

Thought the price was good.....
May get it....I thought changing bits in a laptop was a whole handlin with compatibility etc...

The only problem now then is the german keyboard....but you can't have everything I s'pose :)

Cheers for the info,
