I have a USB removable flash drive and want to make it password protected, so then when I plug it into a machine you need a password to access the data on it.

Any ideas on how to do this? :saywhat:

I haven't but no doubt there is software out there for it.

(Not in a patronising way) but if it is removable why not keep it removed and hidden

Depending on the make of of the drive your manufacture might provide software for it, for example disgo do something called KeySafe

However i think that each manafactures software will only work on their drive. if this is the case then maby just find a small encryption program and put it on your key?

one more thing, if you are into data protection then you can get ones with a fingerprint scanner on, sony and a few others do them

Try encrypting the files. Much more secure.
