Hello Eveyone.
Hope that everything is going well.
I have this window popping up every minute or two:
"internet sharing configuration
c://windows/system32/spoolsv.exe is attempting to change or view this computer's internet connection. To give c://windows/system32/spoolsv.exe permission to edit these settings for as long as the program is open....."
I'm not sure that I should hit OK. Everytime I hit cancel or No, the message just returns in about 1 minute.
I have run Spybot and AVG - both have been clean.
I am also running ZoneAlarm and spywareblaster (FYI).
OS - Windows XP Pro
Any thoughts?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

PS - this is not a pop-up window from ZoneAlarm

Have a look in ..... msconfig/start up and see if it's listed there. If so, untick it and apply, then OK and reboot.
Start/Run type in msconfig and click OK

Thanks for the response.
I have cleared msconfig of everything except for the essential programs and the pop-up screen still appears. There were no programs that even resembled the file.
Do you think that it may be related to my wireless router (Netgear)?
Thanks.

The spooler service is responsible for managing spooled print/fax jobs.
It appears yours is in the right folder too so not too sure why it's keep popping up a warning.
You might want to try uploading that file "spoolsv.exe" to here - http://virusscan.jotti.org/ they're usually busy but worth a try as there are loads of trojans that use the same file name.
Also try here for an online scan - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
Hope this helps.

Deffo sounds suspicious, first thing to do is run a search ie Start / Search and search all files and folders for spoolsv.exe it should be in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and any service pack files if you have them, If its found anywhere else delete it. Post back and let us know.
If you haven't already done so then d/load the update from the below link.

Sounds like a printer installation gone array.
Nowadays, everything you install wants to run at startup.
Some printer software wants to access the Internet (for whatever reasons).
Not on any of my boxes, Antivirus (NOD32) is the only thing allowed to run at startup.
As mentioned above, spoolsv.exe is provided by Microsoft and is associated with printer/fax and should be located in the C:Windows\System32 folder.
Try uninstalling the printer software and see if the problem persists. If necessary rename the file in question to see what happens.
