windows update & nero problem

HI all a bit of a funny one i live in Hull and all the people i talk to use Nero for copy dvd games all are having the same problem Nero will read the disc but then will not open the tray i have two dvd writers and both are doing the same and all the people i know are getting th same mesage not the right disc format and will not wright the dvd could this be because of a Windows updat ? any Help peeps as this is doing my very small head in hi many thanks to all for the help

What version of Nero?
What kind of DVD games? (Some formats (XBOX) cannot be read by Windows).

What is the exact message thrown up by Nero?

the problem seems to be with a few different versions ie my freind has nero 7. something, i have an earlier version and 3 others have some were in between what happens with most is as above but there also doing this as well when i click on nero it comes up you then click what you want i8 data audio etc the nero pops down then pops up the same window and wont let you write anything i was wondering as i have cleaned nero out by useing the nero clean up tool as recomended by one of our guys here it still has the same problem could it be windows updates at all it seems funny that all have been running for ages and all have gone down in the last week or so ?could a virus have got us all ? many thanks for looking guys this one is a mistary lol
