Upgrading OSX

I have OSX 10.2.8 on my mac.

I have osx104installdvd.dmg.iso on my mac but cant install it as an error occurs when trying to mount it. I also cant burn it to dvd as the version of toast I have wont install onto this early version of osx.

Is there a mac program that extracts iso files?
