I read the tuts on adding a power button to a controller. My question is, Is it possible to add a power button to a wireless controller? My wireless controllers have a reciever ( I guess thats what its called ) plugged into the controller port. The lights only come on it when the xbox is powered up. So I'm guessing a power button on a wireless controller won't work unless the xbox is on already. I want to use the button to power on the xbox. I can always power it off through Evo-X.

Anyone try this or see any tuts for it?

hmmm.... i'm guessing the receiver is powered by the xbox and so probably won't be possible to use that kind of mod- you could try that mod (http://www.cheaplpc.com/XIR/) which you can do to make the dvd remote turn the power on/off- think that uses a separate receiver on the pcb

I'm thinking about doing the doorbell mod. I think it will be cheaper than the one from tech tv.

Thanks for the help guys.

buddy of mine did the doorbell mod. only problem though, was interference, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't... no matter how long the antenna or where it was placed inside/outside the box. ended up taping it to the front lmfao. looks ghetto as hell but it works a champ.
