You can output your video and audio to a VCR, or standalone DVD Recorder, or Camcorder, then import the stuff into your PC, and convert/author it..
You'll need A/V out, of course, and a means of digitizing the end result into the PC.
If you have an all in wonder card, you're all set. If not, well.........

You could capture from one PC to another this way. I've done it both ways, and it works out great.

Much better just to use a screen capture program. Cleaner source so smaller better looking files. Plus there are AVI codecs specifically designed for it.

Try: http://www.techsmith.com/

Have a look at a freeware program called Cam Studio. It will do realtime video of your screen and can save the video to an avi file.

Snag-It is another such program. It has a few more bells and whistles but it does cost.

Jay, I've got the Cam Studio installer saved on my drive. Post back if you would like it and I'll e-mail it to you tonight if you want.
