I'm getting about 20 a day now !! you know the ones with the .pif attachments with the usual "your file is attached, please read attached etc etc"
Other than the obvious (dumping my email address) is there anything at all I can do to stop them coming through ?
It's now really annoying me now :(
Cheers

How about telling us what AV software you are using to scan your incoming emails ...

You can always setup filters as well dependant on software and also block e-mails with attachments based on their file extension. As VS said we need a bit more info on what your using.

Sorry Guys,
Using the free Antivir program, it always picks them up, and I am "blocking the senders" as they come in, things are a little better today, only 2 came through :)

I use norton Anti-Spam but that dont block them it just moves the emails to the spam folder. Norton AV 2004 picks out all my viruses im just fed up of the quarantine button :(
Can you set up filters with Microsoft Outlook 2003?
Many Thanks

With Norton AV software you can set the options to "repair silently and delete if irreparable" any virus attachments found ... which means you never need to know they are there.
I haven't used Antivir personally, but you could have a look and see if there is a similar setting to "silently" delete any nasties that arrive.
