hi,
i got some original simpsons and futurama dvd's but it's really annoying that u need to pick each episode instead of being able to start the first one and just let it play all episodes so i was wondering what's the best way to rip these so they will play straight through??
cheers

get dvd shrink load the disc, click reauthor, and then drag each episode title into the reauthor window.

This'll play em straight through- but i dunno why you would want to- you'll lose the whole menu structure. plus most of these discs have a "play all" button anyway

the simpsons and the first 2 series of futurama dont have a play all feature and it's easier to have them play one after the other so i dont have to keep going in my kids room and starting the next episode :)

ok fair enough- yeah reauthoring in dvdshrink should do the trick- you can either keep the same no. of eps on a dvd and have to compress it, or you can put fewer eps and not have to do any recompression

Yeah, rip them out.
Your DVD player may also let you turn them off by default. My Philips does, my Sony doesn't.
