how do i stop my music going to i-tunes..?

hi guys thanks for looking.how do i stop music going to i-tunes.?my dad has i-tunes on hi pc but when i send him a song via email and he opens it it goes to the i-tunes page.can he make it not do this.i dont have i-tunes on mine so i dont know ..can you help :(

in basic terms please..........

Double click "My Computer" which is on the desktop.
Click "Tools", and then "Folder Options..."
Click the "File Types" tab, and scroll down to the format the file was in(mp3) and click to highlight it.
Click the "change" button, and choose the program that he wants use instead of i-tunes. He can use Windows Media Player if he doesn't have anything else installed.
Click "OK" and then "Close".
