Modding my Xbox

Right gonna do some Mods to my Xbox.:)

Got this jewel coming

Aslo got some Hyper blue LEDS for the eject/power leds and controller ports.

Got a Cold Cathode to light the jewel.

Need your ideas on the colour of the box itselfs.

got the stock jewel out last night, (freezer methed)

today off to halfords to see what paints they have. and maybe do the controller port mods.

just been out and bought some paint, "Special FX paint" made by Tetrosyl

Silver sparkle, and Blue Sparkle. like glitter really.

gonna try it on a spare case first though...................

think i will do the X in the silver and the blue on the other bits.

not to sound mean or something like that but that looks like a *** disco xbox lol, u did a nice job, but the sparkles look like a litle girls makeup box, or maybe it just looks realy gurly because the lite is reflecting from the sparkles

yeah it aint that sparkly really, the flash on the camera exaggerate the sparkle

nice job............ is there a link on how to a controler port led or is it ob xbox scene

its on Xbox scene, i did the mod where you drill the holes in the back of the controller ports.

quite easy really.

just ensure the tuts are correct ...........ie leds legs correctly identified. long leg is + and need resistor fitting to it.( one of them on xbscene is wrong.)

noyfb™ (http://66.197.142.137/forums/member.php?u=147), nice job m8. I painted my first Xbox but after all that damn work I became lazy and on my 2nd Xbox I just slapped a nice skin on it, lol. That way when I get bored I can easily just get another skin to put on it for later.

Nice work on the led's too. You should take a picture of it with the rooms lights off so the led's show up brighter but that's neither here nor there really.

noyfb - how many leds are in that controller? also what configuration did you use if its more than 1?

2 leds

one top and one bottom,

directly wired on to expansion port wiring. nice and simple
