hi all!

Right, im thinking of buying a tv so i can hook up my xbox 360 to and watch tv (obviously).

Now ive had a look round and have £1500 maximum to spend and want a 42" +, and not really sure what i should be looking for?!? Plasma or LCD?

I have been told you want one with a high contrast ratio, but not sure what else?

Any tips on what to look for?

I have seen this one...

Price looks pretty good, especially with 5 year warranty, any thoughts? Can i hook my pc up to it and surf the internet that way?
Will the games on the xbox lag on it?

And also

Is the first one 1080p?

Thanks

Hi mate,

Just had a quick look at that TV - No its not a 1080p TV, if your looking for one of these you need a resolution of 1920 by 1080 (think thats it :-))

Let me know how you get on as I've been looking at buying a 1080p TV for a few months now and still not made a decision - It seems that there's no ideal TV as all lack in one department or another?

Good luck mate.

Hi rking100uk

My favourite is this Panasonic. Priced in currys from £999.00 for a 42inch. Shop around and you might find it cheaper.

Also check out the link below. On personal viewing...I am definitely convinced that Plasma's the Best. Especially the Panasonic, the above link shows the recommendations it's received.
