Start Do the following - Backu[ you registry before hand

StartMenu>run>regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CurrentVersion>Run -- Delete key with bridge.dll

Start Menu>run>msconfig>startup Uncheck bridge.dll

Then reboot the mchime and run spybot/Ad-aware and the usual spyware apps

reboot and all should be ok

Restart Computer; Run Adaware before doing anything else.

bridge.dll is from the Flinstones.com browser hijacker.
About a week ago this error message was popping up on my daughter's computer everytime Windows load to the Desktop.
gooner is right, it is a Registry entry that causing the RUN.DLL error message.
In her case the Registry location on her Windows XP box was a little different.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/policies/Explorer/Run.
The entry should be in either one of the Registry locations listed.
You can also do a Registry search for the "bridge.dll" entry.

Use the search/find function in Reg Editor to find bridge.dll and remove all bridge.dll enteries

Just for reference shuttle have you downloaded Ad Aware free from www.lavasoft.de (http://www.lavasoft.de) (choose the free download from CNET).

You'd be surprised just how much cr@p it removes from the windows registry of you hard disk! ;)
