Hi Guys not been on here for a good while but im hoping someone can help me out here!

I have 2 pcs to fix one for my sister one for my m8.

Both pcs power up but then nothing.

They do not display anything at all.

I am running a kvm to allow me to to connect to my own system aswell its working ok cos i just had another pc on it.

Both of them said that when the systems were booting they were bleeping some kind of code.

Now i have them here there is not a peep coming from them ????

Kinda stuck really. My only assumption which may be way of the mark is that the grapthics cards in bothe systems have gone down the pan.

Any help at all would be apprecated im kinda stuck as it is.

Dont wanna go buy new cards incase that in not the case.

Cheers

Do you get past POST and then nothing or straight away from boot?

Nothing from booting on both machines. Same problem as they were having as i say but no bleeping to indicate the problem for me!

Could be many things mate, try removing sticks of ram, and other hardware to see if its hardware related.

I would also try and boot from a winxp installation disk if you have one. If not then make a boot disk. Hirens boot cd is a good boot disk with tons of useful recovery, fixes etc on it.

To avoid confusion m8y, it will be better if you use this thread for just one of the PC's and then raise another for the other .... just to keep things seperate.

It might be a good idea to lose the KVM, whilst troubleshooting.

Looking at PC 1 ........ at boot up can you see any signs of life .... i.e. drives spinning up, LEDs, Optical Drives ?

Also can you get into bios at boot up ?
