Wonder if anyone can help with this problem we are having at work.
We have an old accounts bespoke system written in DOS (!) and a Customer Mailer software package again bespoke written in VB. Now the invoice information is stored in a .ISE file (btrieve database) and it is with this file we have a problem.
We recently got a new server, and had all data transferred across, however this particular file was showing as corrupt.
When we try to copy this .ISE file from one location to another, whether it be across on the network OR from just the same hard drive. We get a path too deep error. This is not a correct error, as the path is not too deep at all its only three folders down and within the max 255 characters.
I need to copy this file from the old server, have tried robocopy and copy DOS commands, tried zipping the file first, everytime it will just not copy across.
Is there possibly any other methods we can try?
