I'm trying to run HL/Counterstike on my PC but am having probs selecting a screen resolution.
My Win XP home desktop is set at 1024*768. When running the game in Direct 3d I get a full screen pic at any resolution but when I quit back to the menu then try to resume the game it hangs on a splash screen.
When i run the game in opengl the only res that will run at full screen is 640*480, anything higher causes the game to run in a window in the corner of the screen. This corner gets smaller the higher the resolution I set.
If I set my Windows desktop to 640*480 I still get the same problems.
I'd like to run the game at 1024*768 in opengl to avoid the menu probs, can anyone help get it to run in full screen rather than a small corner of my desktop?
I'm using an AMD 2800XP CPU with ATI Raedon 9800 AIW Graphics card so I know my system can handle it. All running with an AOC 17ins TFT monitor.
I've disabled all items in the taskbar etc and still no joy. Also no TV is connected to the graphics card.
Halo and Call of Duty run fine at any resolution too.
