Windows Explorer Error

noticed now everytime i highlight a divx or xvid file now windows explorer crashes with a windows error report

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: xvid.ax
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0003d928

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this or atleast stop this from happening because i have a lot of these files on my pc and its starting to get really annoying cant even rename them without it crashing out

all say codec is whack, personally i'd download divx player again with the most recent codecs.

do a defrag on your HDD if this doesn't cure the problem then uninstall your xvid codec and reinstall and make sure its the latest version, that should cure it.

Cheers for the info all i use to play xvid's or divx files is just windows media player any codec thats been used has just been downloaded when required

JUst deleted the xvid.ax file and everything seems to be playing ok and the crashed have stopped for the mo
