Folks,

my new xbox360 is here - presently I have a 'wired' broadband modem connection from NTL upstairs and wondered how easy it was to network the 360 to see my pc as it upstairs.... would it be a case of simply plugging in a router then running an ethernet cable to the xbox360 downstairs ?...

I dont want to go wireless just now but I was looking at the following - would this get me online and sharing my PC files and music with my xbox360?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/D-Link-Ethernet-Broadband-Router-DIR-100/dp/B000JKA3EE/sr=1-2/qid=1170278640/ref=sr_1_2/202-2059438-7774243?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

and

any help is appreciated folkes :O)

If you're going wired then yes, cable from modem to router, cables from router to pc/360. The ones you linked to will do fine, but you can probably pick up a decent wireless router for the same price.
