Hi Guys, any pointers on this problem:-

I have been trying to install a Tiscalli USB broadband modem in a Pc, the disc runs through the set up, Windows Xp sees the hardware, (modem and network adapter) the setup does not seem to finish though, it keeps asking to reboot the Pc to complete setup, the devices are shown in the device manager, however there is no icon in the control panel network connections window, the guy at Tiscalli says I need to configure the network adapter, but its already there in the device manager.

tried to uninstall and reinstall everything, didnt work,, im beginning to think either the disk is faulty or there is a problem in windows Xp and a reformat is on the cards..

Any ideas?? (not got the Pc again till tomoz now)

Cheers

If it's the same thing happened to me installing BlueYonder, the setup is supposed to continue after the reboot but rarely does? I know it's not incredibly helpful, but I can't remember how it was fixed. I THINK, after a number of tries, it worked, or as you said, it was a reformat...

Thanks for the reply Limehac, it was a reformat that cured it, tried the same disc in another Pc, it went on in 20 seconds, connected and working in less than a minute, spent an hour an half last night tryin to sort it, lol, should have just formatted and reinstalled eh !
