where can i get the upgrade firm ware for a 107d so that i can burn at x8 on x4 disks....cheers :beer:

Sorry to jump on your thread mate but I am basically looking for the same as you.

Once you install the firmware, can you uninstall it if there is a problem or you simply want to remove it?

as far as i know the firm upgrade only works with some riteks.

It works on my 107 using Ritek and DataBank (made by GigaStorage) DVD-R's. They burn fine at 8x but I tend to use 6x. Havent tried any other media so not sure if it works with some and not others.

Last time I checked it was 8x4all (at least for DVD-R).
