I am downloading xvids of new dvd rips and converting them to high quality (4000 k/bs) mpegs to put them on dvds using TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR .

The thing is most of the xvids are 24 fps so when i convert them to pal 25 fps it jerks every now and again but if i edit the settings in TMPGENC to convert at 24 fps it plays fine but of course dvd author wont allow it cos its not 25 fps.

I was wondering what program i could use to patch the header of my 24 fps mpeg file to make dvd author think that it is 25 fps ??

Thanks for any help

You could try it with a hex editor, and follow these instructions.
http://homepage.mac.com/rnc/EditMpegHeaderIFO.html

Or use this program

Not a good idea. Either convert properly to 25fps or encode at 23.976, apply a 3:2 pulldown and author as 29.97fps NTSC.
