:director: Hi U Mods, Got a Little Complaint to make...Sorry for this, never complained before, but this IS Justified!..........This Nice New Site is Great, You All be Very Helpfull, This Be the ONLY Site I give my Personal Email to, Now I find I Am Inundated with JUNK MAIL....Who has Given My Email Addy to Junk Idiots....I don't get this amount of JUNK in my Hotmail, or other Personal Email addys......I Expect Yahoo to have Junk, thats been Filling up for over 2 years now, but thats Yahoos Prob. DO NOT NEED IT in my Personal Email....
I do NOT want to change my personal email addy, too many Friends n family have it, plus it means Expence in changeing my Buisness cards.......
How Has This Happened, NEVER Happened before....Anyone Else haveing Junk Mail from Here!!!??....Who The F&&&K needs Viagra etc., If I needed it i would go to me Dr.....:bawling: ......Thanks n Take Care...

As ps2wiz states, we do not release any information regardless what you chosse to divulge to any source, we never have done and NEVER will. The only way I can see that you now have junk mail is that someone has used a continuous mailing proggy that mails all variations of a mail addy for example:
gooner@aol.com
gooner1@aol.com
gooner2@aol.com
etc etc
and as the mailing proggy has not had a failure bouceback it knows it is a valid e-mail addy and has been passed around the Viagra mailing guys.

The jams/Hoss and others will confirm this. I have highlighted this thread to Hoss/Jams for their reply

I can confirm what gooner has said here scarecrowdr, your email address remains 100% private and would/will never be used or passed onto a 3rd party by us.

They have probably just used email addy generator progs just as gooner said to generate yours or maybe you posted it on the forum for someone to contact you. But I can assure you and anyone else who might be concerned that they have not had it passed on from us and never will.

Yup, we aren't a site trying to make money so it would do us no good to distribute your e-mail addy to others out there. I have heard that hotmail is starting to go the yahoo route (if you know what I mean) so that could easily be your problem.

Theres always a way for spammers to find your email address. Spammers are costing me time and money.....

The otherway is if they use web crawlers to scan forums and the like for e-mail addys. I suggest if you post your mail addy anywhere in the future type it as

Forums like this that are viewable by all visitors are virtual gold mines for email bots. The only way to keep this from happening would be to never post an email address publicly that you do not want shared with the whole world.

I can tell you for sure that we have not given your details to anyone. We hate getting spam as much as you guys. We will never sell your email address or any other info that you store in our database.

Another reason why you could be getting spam is because you are using Hotmail. They are known for selling your email address if your options aren't set right, which the conveniently reset from time to time.

THANK YOU ALL for REPLYING and Explaining to me...I Did Not think Anyone here would do it, but it seams that someone has managed to pass my addy on to the spamers.....Or whatever they do to do it....Baffles me!
I stoped the Hotmail Spam a while ago, took ages, but its done.....My personal un has been free for 5 years.......Will be Glad when this New Law starts to Bite n Stops these Spamers...I don't mind the adverts I've asked for, but most of it is beyond a joke......

Yes it is possible and has been said the Charles did sell mail addy's m8's
But I can't say one way or the other for sure.

I can shut all the Bots outta of the forums, however this would also mean that any 'good bots' such as those used by Google or others for search engines would also be shut out. Which we don't want.
THe way our mail system is set up here, the only way for a bot to get it is if you display/post it in either your Sig or in a post. In that regard you bear the responsibility of being careful of what and how you post it.
