First and foremost, anyone running Hijackthis - run it with no other apps running no MSN Messenger etc etc - haven't had a chance to look at ps2wiz's link as in a rush so apologies mate if I am repeating anything:

to get rid:

If you please could search for C:\WINDOWS\gsim.dll and deleete it

Then close all open windows and apps , run Hijackthis and put a checkmark next to those items and have them fixed :

Then you need to reboot

Is this ingnore ps2wiz day or something? I linked to 6 different sites that said that same thing that gooner said. And one of the links was the same exact one that geobon linked to. And what did takeitup tell you that solved your problem Russ?

I guess he was trying to make me feel bad. He included everyone that posted in this thread except me since I solved his problem the day before but he just couldn't relize it. I guess thats what you get for helping people. Some people just like being spoon fed and deny the existance of google I guess.

I looked at ps2wiz's links and downloaded the programs. When I got stuck, I asked for more advice. Those who responded positively, I thanked. Yes, I can read. I merely ignored that negativity and refused to comment in that fashion.
Thanks.
