AOL 8meg to SKY16 meg ......

Ok with aol on 29.99 (8 meg) download up to 500kbps np ,Been with aol for 6 years ....1 month on 8 meg im 10 days over there deadline to cancel ,Sky ring today ...yep can get u 16meg for 10.00 a month ontop of 53.50 for sky full package and HD so ring aol to cancel ok yep fine ,Forget to ask for a code and rang them back to late u cant have because u cancelled allready think a mac code or something ,Now got to wait 10-15 days before line is free for sky to start there work .Even if i get 500kbps from sky its still 20 cheaper than aol

Are Aol pulling a fast 1 here or not ??

Thats correct, once line is cancelled, the migration process is no longer valid. some isp will try to make it work, but they dont have to.

Yep, *never* use the word "cancel" when wanting to change ISP's - always ask for a MAC code. Otherwise you are then liable to pay your new ISP the BT ADSL connection charge of almost £60.
