Never bought ram before and am a bit confused on what exactly I should get.

I currently have 512mb ram, and want to double it.

I have a MEDION TITANIUM MD 8083 PC.

My current ram:

Had a look in a program called AIDA32, got these details:

Memory Module Properties
Module Name Samsung M3 68L3223FTN-CCC
Serial Number 1008077890
Module Size 256 MB (1 rows, 4 banks)
Module Type Unbuffered
Memory Type DDR SDRAM
Memory Speed PC3200 (200 MHz)
Module Width 64 bit
Module Voltage SSTL 2.5
Error Detection Method None
Refresh Rate Reduced (7.8 us), Self-Refresh
Highest CAS Latency 3.0 (5.0 ns @ 200 MHz)
2nd Highest CAS Latency 2.5 (6.0 ns @ 166 MHz)

I have two of the above making 512mb.

SAMSUNG 512MB
Memory
GDR 400 MHz,
64 bits binarily channel MEMORY
(1 bank freely for armament)
Looking to buy from Ebuyer.co.uk, what exactly should I be looking for?

Thanks

you are looking for pc 3200 ddr ram 512mb, although why you need so much ram i'll never know.
do not buy ebuyer value ram, and if you want really compatible memory try to get samsung memory, but any decent brand will do, samsung, crucial, kingston, adata, geIL, twinmos, corsair.

just had a look at the stuff on ebuyer, would go with www.overclockers.co.uk (http://www.overclockers.co.uk) for decent memory, they don't really buy in anything cheap and nasty and have all the top makes

Thanks, yeah, I've used Overclockers before, good stuff.

Just a question, say I wasnt going to double it, could I just get another 128mb or 256mb?

If you try www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com) they have a memory compatability thingy. You just type in the make and model of the pc and it tells you exactly what memory to buy. It's very helpful if you are confused.

Nothing wrong with buying another Samsung stick to X2 your RAM, unless you may be thinking of going dual channel Samsung is about as good a choice as any, if your motherboard supports it.
