My lad's shuttle pc decided to stop working on Christmas day, sure someone on here can help me get this going again.
Its a SN95G5
Athlon 3200+
running xp pro sp2
dont know if you need any further specs.
Anyway son pulled unit forward to fit new speakers to rear and unit powered down. We thought mains lead had been pulled so checked all cables and powered up. Upon attaching power cable all fans run for 3-4 secs then stop and nothing.
Tried resetting CMOS but still the same.
Been having a look at shuttle website and forums and have come across a couple of things but not sure what I can do about it.
This system has a sort of power failure shutdown, which can be disabled in bios so it reboots straight after surge/failure but dont know if this was onn/off and cant get to bios to check.
Also as soon as power lead is applied all fans run it used to be when power lead was connected nothing happened until you pressed the power on button.
Think it may be locked out in some sort of safety mode, but then again mobo or power supply could be fooked.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.
PS tried removing all connections/leads from mobo in case of hardware fail, so it doesn't look like that.
Cheers in advance
