SS.bin question

I've downloaded a game which is supposed to be ready to burn but then found out after making a coaster that it actaully needed to be patched.

Is there any way to tell if an iso has been patched with the ss.bin file before burning? Should I just patch it anyway? Is it ok just to patch an iso even if it may have already been done?

You sure it needs the secure sector? A couple Ive grabbed recently (old games) just had the layer break value set wrong in the .dvd file

Xbox Backup Creator can check if it's stealth patched or not. I don't know what it reports if it's not SS patched.
