Bought my daughter an ipod nano for xmas, having big problems with it so far:xmasconfused:
it seems the ipod isnt compatible with the system i've got (windowsME)
firstly i cant seem to install the ipod properly (haven't got original windowsME disk required during install)
also it seems i need to use itunes, which i cannot download because it says only compatible with windows 2000 or xp.
ive got a unhappy 14yr old at the moment.all her music is currently on this p.c.
any help would be very gratefully appreciated please.
thanks in advance.

Welcome to DVD-ROM Guide
You could try ephpod, this will work with ME, assuming your ME installation isn't shot :

Make sure you download the correct version ;)

the problem now seems to be with installing the ipod on windowsME..
when i go through the installation progress it seems i'm missing some drivers.
i'm asked to insert the windowsME disk, which i haven't got.
i get these error messages
the ntkern.vxd device loader could not load the device driver, to fix click the update driver...
when i click update driver it says can't find usbstor.inf, when i click next it says cannot find usbntmap.sys and also cannot find usbstor.sys
:xmasconfused:

Hmmmm. .....it certainly seems like you are going to need the ME CD-ROM
This may help, but you could spend a whole load of time and still have problems :

Check out the option, which may be available to you, if you dont have the CD-ROM.
I guess it depends on how much time you are willing to spend ;)
