I bought a chipped psone and it plays all games fine with no problems (pal & ntsc) but since i tried to use the official lcd screen the picture just rolls. Is this because of the chip or is it just a faulty screen ?
Any help would be very much appreciated.Pal machine & screen.

i would believe if you happen to play pal game on your NSTC system with an NSTC montier... sceen that would occur.. check what are you doing with the TV inorder for you to play Pal games without any problem.. apply the same method to your LCD sceen if not prossible might want to get the Pal/NSTC disc to boot those pal game..

Hi m8

Thanks for the reply.
The psone is pal, so is the Official lcd screen. But even when i boot up with NO game in the picture still keeps rolling. Is this because the psone has been chipped ?
It plays both pal & ntsc games in colour on the tv.

The chip shouldn't have anything to do with it. The LCD may just be defective. The only other reason the screen would roll is if it's a PAL game on an NTSC LCD screen (or vice versa)

I have an NTSC PSone /w LCD and it's chipped. Everything works fine except when I boot a PAL game.

the chip installed must be onechip this forces ntsc signal to screen on boot up

if game is pal will play ok when game starts
if game is ntsc will roll all the time

sony lcd screen can't handle ntsc playback
