View Full Version : does SATA pci card need drivers if used in dos?

still cant get drivers for my new unboxed/no manual/no drivers 6421a sata card & the website that sold me it saying it was a 6421L with box/manual/drivers, wont reply to my emails :(

do I need the drivers if its gonna be used in dos?

You do need drivers so your mtkflash.exe file knows where to look. If not you'll be p!ssing in the dark.
Heres my set of drivers for generic card (off ebay) 2 internal 1 external but might work regardless of what card you have.

lo mate, i bought the same card on ebay , mine has a drivers cd so let me know if the generic ones that danman posted dont work and ill up mine for ya :)

you don't need the drivers for mtkflash in dos, the drivers are used by windows.

you do however need to hex edit mtkflash to see your card, and to do that you need it installed in windows so you can get the correct values to edit in.

hex editing mtkflash seems very hard.

did any of u use Xtreme boot maker to get the edited flash?
