Full screen on vga monitor?

Hi all.

Bought a 17inch lcd monitor, and only a few games are fullscreen (eg Dead Or Alive, Viva Pinata), the rest have big borders on top and bottom of the screen.

Is there any way to fix this? The monitor resolution is 1208 x 1024, which i have set in the 360 dashboard.

go into display on 360 dash, change to 720 (h.def), should then be in full screen rather than widescreen format...

How playable is it on a 17" monitor, are you able to appreciate the graphics?

I have been playing my PS2 on a 20" so I can't imagine how good XBOX360 will look on a monitor.

I played mine on a normal 17" TFT until I got a widescreen 20", still decent graphics and completely playable.

Changed it to 1208 x 720.

It is fullscreen, but looks squashy :(
